If you know me, for the past 3 years I’ve pretty much been vegetarian/vegan and I’ve attributed most of my autoimmune healing to a plant-based, mostly animal-free diet.
So when I heard about the Carnivore Diet doing wonders for all sorts of autoimmune diseases, I started questioning and finding out more. It has since been my pet research topic for the past few months.
Here’s the incredible story of Mikhaila Peterson who has recovered from multiple autoimmune complications through a carnivore diet.
She was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at 7 and has had multiple joint replacements at 17. Additionally, she’s struggled with chronic depression/anxiety since grade school and has sufferred from various skin disorders.
Conventional pharmaceuticals could only suppress her symptoms but not treat the root cause or delay disease progression.
Changing her diet was the most healing intervention. Who would’ve thought that meat heals
?!

Crazy right?
Believe me, I have spent the past few weeks trying to wrap my head around this idea that plants might be contributing to so many diseases of our times. And I’m studying a degree in Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine!
What I’ve come to realize is how gullible we are. We utilize our critical thinking enough and question both sides of the story. For example, we’re always told that plants are good for us and we accept that. End of story. And then start stuffing our faces (or guts) with raw green smoothies and salads etc (which can be very detrimental to our health in terms of antinutrients like oxalates).
So, how do you know if something is true or not?
I guess the best way is to try it yourself and get some first hand experience.
So… I’ve decided to experiment with this Carnivore diet.
Today is Day 12 and to be honest, I feel amazing!
In the following posts to come, I intend to share more about:
- the benefits of animal nutrition and the Carnivore diet
- disadvantages of eating plants
- myths about eating animals (environment, health, etc)
- my own experiment with the Carnivore diet
Stay open minded

My opinion is no one diet is suitable for all. That is why I created the Wholistic aging diet. The key is moderation. Diet only contributes 10% to our health. We also consider the environment, animal suffering etc and spiritual aspects.
